Chatty Child Speech and Occupational Therapist is Now Offering Physical Therapy

Chatty Child Speech and Occupational Therapy, PLLC is now collaborating with two licensed Physical Therapists to provide pediatric services at its downtown Manhattan location throughout the 2018 school year. Treatment is available to kids ages 1 month-18 years.

Located in Tribeca, Chatty Child provides evaluation and treatment services in the areas of speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and, as of this fall, physical therapy. It also offers weekly group classes on feeding and socialization skills, as well as family training and support assistance.

Led by a multidisciplinary team made up of licensed Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, Chatty Child utilizes an individualized approach to meet each child’s communication, movement, and developmental needs. With the addition of two licensed Physical Therapists to the team this fall, it is able to provide an even more comprehensive range of care.

“Convenience for visitation to Chatty Child for specific treatments is very important to parents and caregivers who lead busy lives,” says Founder and Owner of Chatty Child Heather Lynn Boerner. She herself is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped. “Our clients are able to receive speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy all in one convenient spot,” she says.

Through activity and play, the physical therapy program at Chatty Child focuses on improving a range of motor skills, such as balance, coordination, spatial awareness, and body strength. Both Physical Therapists have doctorates in physical therapy and help young patients who have a variety of developmental delays, including autism, cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, and neuro-muscular abnormalities.

"Our therapists treat each child as a whole person, working within a collaborative learning environment. This environment fosters creativity and fun, while improving functional life skills of every patient."

Chatty Child is located at 325 Broadway, Suite 403, in tribeca. For more information, call 347-491-4451 or visit the Chatty Child website
