Though Washington DC is the mecca for U.S.-based cherry blossoms, New York City and the surrounding areas have their fair share of the pink-petal beauties. Here are some of the best cherry blossoms in NYC to take in, from Central Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to Riverside Park and Snug Harbor.

1. Riverside Park

On the Upper West Side, right along the Hudson River, Riverside Park is home to a 4-mile path lined with cherry blossom trees, dubbed Sakura Park. A part of this esplanade, referred to as the Cherry Walk, goes for 25 blocks from 100th to 125th streets.

The annual Sakura Matsuri Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is sadly on hold this year, but you can still walk around the gardens—and you won’t want to miss the tree-lined Cherry Esplanade.
