Subscribe Sterling Care, a Greenwich-based home staffing service, now offers a babysitter placement program to help families in Fairfield County find a babysitter that suits their in-home child care needs. Sterling Care’s babysitter placement program will help families find a qualified babysitter for their needs. In early November, Sterling Care, a premier homecare and domestic staffing firm, began offering babysitter placement programs for families searching for a regular sitter or child care assistance for 10-30 hours per month. Sterling Care customizes the sitter search by focusing on the family’s individual needs and requirements. The firm screens 20-30 sitters per placement opportunity, checking references and performing additional drug and background tests as requested. The firm then narrows down the selections and parents are presented with two or three sitters to choose from. All babysitters that are recommended through Sterling Care have several years of babysitting experience. Additional babysitting training courses, including CPR and nutrition, are available upon request. “[Sterling Care] is so enveloped within the community, families are dealing with a team of people and not just someone over the phone,” says Rosa Campo, business manager. “[The placement process] is personal and builds a relationship between the family and the staff.” The homecare firm offers in-home CPR and first aid classes. Classes are scheduled around the family’s busy schedule and cover topics including seizures, allergic reactions, burns, and more. Sterling Care also offers baby care attendants placement for families with infants younger than 1 year. Attendants are trained in feeding, stimulating a newborn’s intellectual and motor skills, and can assist with general household needs. All baby caregivers have 24-hour access to a registered nurse.
