Hair Salon in Rye Now Offering After-School Specials for Kids

Carlos Avalos and his husband, Joe Ballantoni, opened the John Christopher Salon this past fall in downtown Rye. With over a decade in the beauty industry, Carlos is one of three master stylists at the salon, while Ballantoni lead the salon’s renovation and interior design. With five full time stylists on staff, who are all licensed cosmetologists, there is a multitude of services offered for clients of all ages, and the salon offers specials for children and young adults.

John Christopher Salon is offering event styling, up-dos, and makeup sessions at special teen rates, just in time for prom season. According to salon manager Janet Magana, formal up do and makeup, a $165 value, will be offered at $145; semi-formal up do and makeup, a $150 value, will be offered at $125; a blow dry and makeup, a $120 value, will be offered at $100; and a blow dry and curl, a $135 value, will be offered at $115.
