New York International Children’s Film Festival Lineup Announced


From February 26 through March 20, Oscar® qualifying New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) is open to the public. Tickets went on sale Jan. 28th, so head over to www.NYICFF.org to snag yours! Over 100 films from around the world will be shown, along with workshops, Q&As with filmmakers, special celebrations, and more.

The complete lineup of films has been officially released, and the films will be featured at New York’s Bow Tie Chelsea, DGA Theater, IFC Center, Museum of the Moving Image, Scandinavia House, SVA Theatre, and Village East Cinemas.

The 2016 films are appropriate for kids ages 3-18. While you can take a peek at the full schedule and lineup, some films of note include, Belle and Sebastian: The Adventure Continues, which is a French film; Phantom Boy, also French; Molly Monster, out of Germany; and Little Door Gods, by way of China.



At the close of the Festival, attendees will delight in the Closing Night Celebration, where winners will be announced, and the “Best of the Fest” short films will be viewed in a special showing. Winners are up for 2017 Academy Awards! Celebrities including Susan Sarandon, Sofia Coppola, and Geena Davis are on the NYICFF selection panel.
