Yankee Stadium is Offering Free Virtual Tours

Tours are 30 minutes long, free, and take place weekly every Tuesday at 12pm and Thursday at 2pm.

This summer, Yankee Fans are missing the quintessential baseball season experience of taking the 6 train to 161st Street, joining fellow fans in the stands with a dirty water dog, and cheering on the Bronx Bombers. Luckily, Yankee Stadium is now offering free virtual tours of some of Yankee Stadium's most iconic areas, led by a knowledgeable Yankee Stadium Tour Guide. While we wait for the day we are all able to return to the stadium in person, these virtual tours are a way to feel the magic of the Yankees in a safe way.

Tours take place weekly every Tuesday at 12pm and Thursday at 2pm and are free to the public. Each tour is approximately 30 minutes long, with a short forum for questions at the end. You can register at this link, and after you will receive a webinar link emailed to you five minutes before your designated tour time (11:55am on Tuesdays and 1:55pm on Thursdays).

For some extra Yankee content and history, the new webinar series Curator's Circle dives deep into Yankees History with stories, historical records, and commentary on some of the greatest teams, players, and achievements in Yankees history. Participants will delve into little-known tales of the Yankees and learn the details behind treasured yankee artifacts on display in the New York Yankees Museum. This program is hosted by the Yankee Stadium Tours department and the Yankees' Senior Museum Curator. Each webinar is approximately 45 minutes and participant questions are encouraged.

The series' first theme is "Yankees by the Numbers," where listeners will learn about statistical milestones in Yankees history. Sessions for "Yankees by the Numbers" are as follows:

  • Curator's Circle Session 1: Wednesday, Aug. 19 and Wednesday, Aug. 26
  • Curator's Circle Session 2: Friday. Aug. 21 and Friday, Aug 28

You are not required to participate in Session 1 in order to participate in Session 2. Register for Curator's Circle here.

Upcoming Curator's Circle sessions will delve into Monument Park: Baseball's Most Exclusive Fraternity.

  • Masterminds of the Golden Years— Between 1915 and 1960, Jacob Ruppert, Ed Barrow, Miller Huggins, Joe McCarthy, and Casey Stengel engineered a "golden age" of New York Yankees.
  • The Boss Takes Charge—George M. Steinbrenner III restored the Yankees to championship glory in 1977 and 1978.
  • Back on Top: The 1996-2009 New York Yankees—Joe Torre managed Bernie Williams and the "Core Four" (Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, and Mariano River) to a October Glory.
  • Pride and Tradition: Captains of the New York Yankees—Only 15 players have held the title of Captain. Celebrate the legacies of Lou Gehrig, Thurman Munson, Willie Randolph, Ron Guidry, Don Mattingly, and Derek Jeter.
  • Unsung Heroes: Masters of the Mound—Pitching excellence formed the bedrock of Yankees dynasties.
  • Serving the Nation—A select number of Yankees donned both the Yankee uniform and the U.S. military uniform as well.

If you're really itching for a trip to the stadium, Yankee Stadium is hosting a drive-in concert and movie series this summer in it's parking lot.
